Success!  Wet hersteloperatie toeslagen submitted

The bill for Wet hersteloperatie toeslagen (the Remedial Procedure on Allowances Act) was submitted by State Secretary Aukje de Vries on 24 June 2022. This act makes it possible to pay compensation to those affected by the rent allowance, care allowance and child-related budget.

Success!  Wet hersteloperatie toeslagen approved

The bill for Wet hersteloperatie toeslagen has been approved by the Tweede Kamer and Eerste Kamer (the Dutch House of Representatives and Senate respectively). The act came into effect on 5 November 2022.

Success!  The implementation test for the scheme has been completed

Uitvoeringsorganisatie Herstel Toeslagen (UHT) (the Implementing Agency for Remedial Action in connection with Allowances) has checked whether the scheme is feasible and whether it can be seen who has been disadvantaged. It was also asked whether it was possible to calculate how much money people should receive back.
